Bike Rentals in San Francisco

Currently, we are operating 3 locations within the city of San Francisco:

• Golden Gate Park: behind the Music Concourse between The California Academy of Science and de Young Museum.

• Golden Gate Park: Eastern entrance at corner of Haight & Stanyan near Waller Street Skatepark and Alvord Lake Bridge.

• Marina Green: At 2 Marina Boulevard Fort Mason Center on the Marina Green.

Opening days and hours are constantly updated on the homepage, in conjunction with season, weather & daylight hours.

You can pick-up the bikes from either of our three city-wide locations. Two in Golden Gate Park, and one at Fort Mason, on the San Francisco waterfront.

With our one-way drop program riders can easily explore one neighborhood and drop off at another, for a fee. We also offer a drop-off in Sausalito for a fee (depending on availability). Kindly inquire with our rental attendants for more information about one-way drops and fees at the start of your rental.

We have a fleet of 100s of bikes, including city and electric bikes, kids equipment, and tandems. Most have either a two hour or a day long rental rate to choose from. 

Parkwide is the only San Francisco company to also feature 2 or 4- person Surreys. Surreys operate differently than a regular bike and are perfect for Parkwide’s locations, exclusively held within SF Park spaces (Golden Gate Park and the Marina waterfront). Surreys rent for one hour at a time for rides on our pre-established routes.

We are very family friendly! We provide equipment for all ages 6 months and older!

• Child Seats: Recommended 6 months of age or older, until about 3 – 4 years old – 40 to 50 pounds (18 to 22 kg)
• Trailers: Up to 100lbs; recommended max 80lbs (36 kg)
• Tag-Alongs: Up to kids about 4 to 6 years old
• Kids bikes 20′ & 24″: Up to 6 to 9 years old
• City Bikes: 10 years of age and older (depending on height)
• Electric Bikes: 13 years of age and older. Electric Bike riders must be 5’1 or taller.
• Surreys can be enjoyed by groups of all ages

All riders are required to sign a liability waiver (parents or guardian sign for ages under 18). If you book online you will be sent an electronic waiver to complete in advance, if you do not have a reservation then you will complete the waiver when you check in for your rental.

• Cancellations made outside of 48 hours are refundable
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of reservation are charged a $20 administration fee. 
• Same Day Cancellations + no shows are charged in full, and non-refundable.
• If a reservation date is changed from its original date, the changed reservation no longer qualifies for cancellations/ refunds
