Surrey Rental in San Francisco

Surrey Rental in San Francisco

Experience San Francisco in Style with a Surrey Bike Adventure!

A surrey is a four-wheeled, pedal-powered “carriage” and the perfect choice for families, groups of friends, or couples seeking a fun and unique way to explore San Francisco’s iconic parks. Parkwide features either 2 or 4-seater models. The old-timey vehicles have a vintage canopy cover and sweet benches so folks can pedal together sitting side by side.

For any of our 3 locations, we feature a one-hour loop to take you past breathtaking landmarks. In Golden Gate Park you’ll pass the California Academy of Sciences, Conservatory of Flowers, Stow Lake, and the serene Japanese Tea Garden. From the Marina Waterfront, the dedicated Bay Trail bikeway hugs the shoreline with ample, ongoing views of the Golden Gate Bridge nestled on your horizon. Choose from 1 to 2-hour pre-designated rides that are veritably quad-friendly. We always include a map so it’s easy to follow along!

About Surreys

The Surrey “bike” was invented in the mid-19th century in England. After England, they were largely produced in Italy. Accordingly, surreys were originally made of wood and used for slow, leisurely rides. Their features, besides always being a quadricycle, are open-air bench seating (think: golf cart), with each passenger seated in front of a set of pedals. Although they find themselves in the bicycle category, they do not operate like one but rather as their own thing. Surreys are not made to ride uphill. As they move slowly they are safe to seat smaller toddler age children in the front basket to see the sights as their adults do the pedaling!
